Film

Throughout making this film we had some difficulties. Rico left the group due to creative differences and frustrations of making the film. The equipment that was used was dying often and was so high tech no one knew how to use it. We only have made a minute and ten seconds of the film so far because we ran out of time to finish. We are scheduling to add more scenes onto the film to make it to our two minute mark.

Inside the car 4 people sitting face to face with a rifle between their legs

KAYDEN

Rico how long do we have till we get there

RICO

Out 3 min get ready

All the people in the car put on a bullet prove vest and a Ski Masks.

MORGAN

Bangs on the Fence separating the cabin and the passengers

Get out now 30 seconds in and out now

The 4 passengers jump out the back of the car ready for Engagement.

They run to the front door and type in the password copying from a piece of paper in kaydens hand to open it.

They all Enter there are 2 people in the house

MICHEL

Get on the ground both of you now!

The 2 hostiges get on the floor Michel Standing above them.

RICO

Where are the diamonds

KAYDEN

I FOUND THE SAFE

Hayden quickly puts in the Combination opens the save and Grabs a baggie with diamonds in it and Throws it in his backpack

KAYDEN

I get them lets move now Michael lets go!

They all run downstairs jump out the front door just to see that the escape viechle is gone.

RICO

Where is Morgan where is she

They run out into the street to see if she was there and saw a cop car with sirens on.

KAYDEN

It was a Set up we have to go now

They all drop there guns and run

OFFICER

Schedule Filming

We will be shooting on Wednesday December the 19th at Kayden's House. Kayden has a spacious living room for a good robbing scene. Also his house has lots of traffic to make ambient sounds. We will use the light outside to intensify the shots.

Casting

Casting- Morgan, Rico, Ben and Kayden + 2 adults

Morgan as a driver: Morgan showed of her driving skills driving casting as is a very good and responsible driver.

Debra: Debra has had experience in filming do to his film school.

Ben as a robber/Editor: Ben showed great acting skills was not afraid to scream out loud in order to scare the victims and is a very well trained editor.

Kayden as a robber: Kayden came as an intimidating robber considering he was more quiet during his role which truly fits the intended written character.

Michael as a robber: Michel showed great enthusiasm during ctasing and really came across as a tense character.

Two residential adults: We have not finished casting these characters but we really need them so tense up the scene.

Scout Locations

We will be recording at Rico's house. The reason we chose Rico's house is because of the setting it surrounds and the resources we can use at his house. The setting is the long roads so we can drive, the house we can "rob" in the movie and the first story of the house.

Due to Rico leaving the group we have decided to shoot at Kayden's house. Kayden's house has a spacious living room. Kayden also has a road near the main roads to make the scene more intense with cars driving by. Also Kayden owns a safe were we can shoot and say the diamonds were in.

Infinity Wars
Infinity Wars is a action movie. This is a movie about all the Avengers coming together and fighting off all the bad guys. In the first couple minutes of the film one of the super heroes dies in an argument with the trolls. The camera shots used in the first couple minutes is close up's, wide shots and long shots. The editing techniques used except for the green-screen effects of the setting. The sound is incidental music and the dialogue of all the characters. The opening credits are introducing the main characters. This movies budget was 400 million and this movie made 2 billion dollars.

Titanic
Titanic is a action romance. Titanic is a film about a boat in 1912 that sunk. In the first couple minutes of the film it shows the two main character's life's in different perspectives getting onto the boat. The camera shots used in the film in the fist couple minutes is close ups and long shot to show the setting. The editing used in the is cut shots. The sound is incidental music and dialogue. There aren't any opening  job titles. The budget for the movie 200 million and it made 1.858 billion.

Ocean 8
Ocean 8 is a action and drama movie. Ocean 8 is a film about stealing a diamond necklace and getting away with it. In the first couple minutes it shows how the main character is getting out of jail after trying to steel something else. The camera shots used in the first couple minutes are close ups and wide shots. The editing used in the couple minutes of the movie is a cut shot and a fade. The sound is the dialogue of the charters. The job titles used in the first couple minutes of the film were the main charters real names. The budget was 70 million and the movie made 41.5 million.

The fault in our stars is a drama and romance film. The fault in our stars is a movie about teen boy and teen girl who fall in love but they both have cancer. In the first couple minutes of the film it reflects on the previous history of the main character Hazel Grace and her cancer. There are numerous shots throughout the film such as close ups, long shots and fades. The sounds is mainly dialogue. The editing done in the first couple minutes is eye line matching and cut transition. In the opening credits the main characters were introduced. This film was budgeted for $12 million and made a total of $614.4 million.

Research 1

Adrift
Adrift is a drama and romance movie which is about a women and man meet then take sail to the sea. In the first couple minutes it shows how the main character Tami is on a boat job and coming to her new temporary home. Where Tami meets Richard. There are numerous shots, sounds and editing such as; wide shot, close ups, fade, fade to black, ocean sound and dialogue. In the opening credits the main characters were named and credited. The production budgeted for $35 million dollars made a total of $57.9 million. Teen choice nominated Adrift for best summer movie.

project selection decision- film

For my final decision I have chosen to do the film project. I think my group and I will be successful in the film project versus the magazine because we are all super outgoing and not camera shy. The skills I posses to make this film where it needs to be, I have editing skills, camera skills and the out going personality to act. I will be working in a group. This group will consist of myself, Kayden, Rico and Ben. The genre of our film will be drama. The skills my group members have is, Ben has editing skills, Rico has high quality cameras and Kayden has an out going personality for acting skills. We will all work together in bringing this project to a high standard of where it needs to be in sharing different roles. In editing, acting and make it a high quality film.

project selection magazine

I think print journalism would be a good choice because of what we have learned in the first and half of second quarter and my past experiences. Last school year I was in a journalism class and we wrote print journalism majority of the year with food critic, sports news and also conducting interviews. The Newsroom has taught a lot about news print writing and what it takes to make different pieces. If i were to conduct a magazine I might write about fashion and the diversity of the different fashion.What might make this project a difficulty is it being very tedious work and i am a perfectionist so I do not think i could get it all done without continually making changes to make it better.

Project Selection Film

Throughout the first and second quarter we have watched Ferris Buller's Day Off, All The Presidents Men, Newsroom and Blog Samples this has shown numerous examples of film production. These films have shown an example of different camera shots, angles, what kind of camera shots these are and what journalists have to go through to get the information they need for the news story etc. While watching The Newsroom the show was about showing what goes on behind the scenes of the news an how it is prepared. Throughout watching the show it has taught what has to be done to get to talk to people for certain information, how to get a news story together and other things to make the news happen smoothly. The skills I have adapted for making the film would be from my past experiences with TV and news broadcasting. From these past journalism classes I have learned how to edit short films videos and video clips in general through final cut pro. In this class final cut pro is not available to me and i am not familiar with the adobe cut editing. This project would be a good fit for me rather than the magazine and my group we are not camera shy and outgoing in front of it.
